The "HTS4Fusion Conductor Workshop" focuses on High-Temperature Superconductor
(HTS) application to fusion research, especially the magnet conductors.
This is the fourth edition and is organized by National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS) and Tohoku University.
The former workshops were held at Karlsruhe (Germany) organized by KIT (2011), Villigen (Switzerland) by CRPP (2014), and Pieve S. Stefano (Italy) by ENEA (2015).
The workshop will enable the world research community to present recent developments on the electrical, mechanical and thermal features of HTS large-current and high-field conductors.
- Large-Current Conductors for Fusion Magnets
- Coated Conductors Development
- HTS Cable Concepts
- Thermal Stability and Quench
- Mechanical and Electrical Stability
- Thermo-hydraulics and Cooling
- AC Losses
- Current Distribution and Shielding
- Irradiation Effects
- Characterization of Conductors
- Large-Current Conductor Test Facilities
Additional information on the workshop is available at the workshop website,
